Kobia as part of Leipurin now joins Lantmännen to drive further growth in food ingredients

As announced today in Aspo newsroom and Lantmännen press release, Lantmännen has completed the acquisition of Leipurin. As part of Lantmännen, Leipurin will operate as a separate business within Lantmännen’s Energy Division, which includes food ingredients operations.

“We are excited to move forward and to become a part of Lantmännen, a leading company in the industry in Northern Europe. This acquisition is expected to bring Leipurin opportunities to develop and grow the business in the long run, strengthening Leipurin expertise and services to business customers and enabling continuity as a customer driven reliable partner”, says Leipurin CEO, Miska Kuusela.

Kobia is since 2022 part of Leipurin Group and Leipurin Sweden which since 2024 also includes the food ingredient partner Kebelco.

“I am very positive regarding the transaction from the perspective of both Kobia and Kebelco. Lantmännen, as a stable and above all long-term owner, will provide us with new opportunities within the Swedish market. This will further strengthen our existing operations and customer relationships”, says Leipurin Sweden CEO, Andreas Nyman

As previously announced in August 15th, 2025, Aspo had signed an agreement to sell Leipurin to Lantmännen. Now this acquisition is complete as it has received all required regulatory approvals.
